Vichan learned the trade of woodcarving in his village in northeast Thailand. The craft was passed down from generation to generation in his family. His woodcarving business helps his family earn a living and also helps put his children through schooling. Vichan is extremely proud of his livelihood because it helps preserve the culture and heritage of his ancestors.
